Welcome To Lowton Church of England High School

Lowton Students Flying High Again!

Exam results at Lowton Church of England High School maintained the improvements seen in recent years with 71% of students achieving grades of A* to C in 5 or more subjects, and an impressive one in five students achieving 5 GCSEs graded A* or A.

There were also many individual success stories with students achieving between 9 and 13 GCSEs all at A* and A grades and 71 succeeding in getting 5 or more graded A* to B. The number of students achieving the benchmark 5 A* to C including English and Maths reached 48% with significant improvements in Maths results, a key target for the school.

Headteacher, Mr Shanahan, praised the hard work of students and their teachers. "Once again, Lowton's students have worked hard to achieve their best and been supported by a team of dedicated teachers. We are delighted that so many, whatever their level of ability, achieved grades in line with their potential, and we wish them all the best for the future.
