About Me:

Hi there. My name is Steph and I am the School Chaplain here at Lowton Church of England High School. I joined the School in September 2021 having never worked in a School environment before. Being involved in education in some capacity has always been a passion of mine and I really felt that this was the right time and that God led me to this role. From a young age my voluntary work within the Church has always involved working alongside children & young people from helping to run a creche, to running a Brownie pack, to various youth aged groups.   

I am one of the very few members of staff within School who the Students call by their first name. My main responsibilities within School are to assist Mrs Barker, our Head of Christian Distinctiveness, with producing our weekly worship within school, our social action outreach and generally increasing our Christian Distinctiveness within the School.  

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Students, especially those who come along to the Clubs I run throughout the week (club information can be found within the Church School Activities section). All working towards our core school values of Caring, Learning & Succeeding.
