Governors are absolutely delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Kieran Larkin as the new Headteacher of Lowton Church of England High School, starting in September 2020. Kieran comes to us from Star Academies, one of the country’s leading education providers, where he currently holds the position of Executive Director for Education. Kieran has experience leading several schools and supporting schools achieve outstanding outcomes. As a practising Christian, he is committed to upholding the ethos of our School and is looking forward to serving both the School and the Lowton community.

In the meantime, Heather Clare remains in post as Acting Headteacher. Part of the work of Governors is to closely monitor what happens at a strategic level in the School and we are assured that, in the intervening time before Kieran takes up his position, leadership is strong and steady. We thank you all, once again, for your commitment to the School and its students, your team spirit, and the support that you have given to Heather during this period of uncertainty.

We look forward to an exciting new chapter for the School in the next academic year.

With best wishes,

Rosemary Johnston

Chair of Governors
