Year 8 Parent's Evening - Wednesday 23/01/2019

 

What happens during Parents’ Evening?

  • Students make appointments with their subject teachers in preparation for the Parents’ Evening. They will be given an appointment sheet by their Form Tutor a week before the consultation evening.
  • Parents will meet teachers in the Sports Hall.
  • Students are welcome to attend Parents’ Evening. They must wear full school uniform.
  • Senior staff, Heads of Houses and SEN support staff are available for consultations.

How long is the Parents’ Evening?

Meetings between teachers and parents last for five minutes. If you feel you will need longer than this please contact the school in advance.

Year 8 Options Meetings - Monday 04/02/2019

 

What happens at a Year 8 options meeting?

Year 8 students will meet with a senior teacher to discuss their option choices.

Can Parents attend the meeting?

Parents are welcome to attend the meeting. Most appointments take place in the school day but arrangements can be made for before and after school.

Who do I speak to about the options choices?

Mrs Shaw will guide students and parents through the options process.

Year 10 Review Day - Monday 25/03/2019

 

What is the review day?

It is an opportunity to:

  • Review your child’s progress
  • Discuss any current support which is in place
  • Look at GCSE target grades
  • investigate what we could do further to help your child

Who will you meet?

You will meet either a member of the Senior Leadership Team, your child’s Head of House, Form Tutor or a key member of staff who will be working with this year group. You will not meet subject teachers on this occasion, but on the parents’ evening.

How long is the meeting?

The meeting will last for approximately 15 minutes and your son/daughter will attend too.

Year 11 Results Issued - Thursday 22/08/2019

 

When are results issued?

Results can be collected in person from 9am.

Where do I go to collect my results?

Results will be given out in J Block from 9am. If you arrive after 10:30am you can collect results from the school office. If you are unable to collect you results in person please speak to Mrs Harrison in the school office.

What else happens on results day?

There will be careers support services available for those students requiring guidance.

Year 11 Review Day - Monday 19/11/2019

 

What is the review day?

It is an opportunity to:

  • Review your child’s progress
  • Discuss any current support which is in place
  • Investigate what we could do further to help your child
  • Discuss how to support your child with their mock examinations in December

Who will you meet?

You will meet either a member of the Senior Leadership Team, your child’s Head of House, Form Tutor or a Year 11 Mentor. You will not meet subject teachers on this occasion, but on the parents’ evening.

How long is the meeting?

The meeting will last for approximately 15 minutes and your son/daughter will attend too.

What else happens at the review day?

Mrs Harrison, the School Careers Coordinator, and local colleges will also be on hand during the day to offer you advice and guidance regarding the post-16 options open to your child and the routes into further education should you wish to talk to them.
