Welcome Letter

On behalf of the governors and staff, welcome to Lowton.

Welcome to Lowton Church of England High School, a community where we are passionate about equipping young people to make a positive difference in the world. As a relatively small school we are confident that we know our students well and offer a high standard of personalised pastoral care.

We deliver a broad curriculum that aims to promote a love of learning. We take pride in having high expectations of our students so they are able to reach their academic potential. We believe that students thrive when they are challenged to do their best and we celebrate their achievements.

The school joined the family of Church of England schools in 2012. We have developed a strong Christian ethos that is committed to being inclusive, caring and places serving others at the heart of everything we do. We work very closely with our local churches and employ a Chaplain who plays an integral role in school life. Please look at our Chaplaincy page to discover more about how our faith makes a positive difference to school life.

To learn more about the life of our school we invite you to explore our Facebook page, where we share daily updates about life in our school, read our website and visit us where you will be welcomed by friendly staff and polite students.

You are welcome to come into school at any time to discuss your child’s education. If there is an issue then your first contact should be your child’s Form Tutor as they can liaise between yourselves and staff and give support to you and your child. However, we politely ask that you to make an appointment in advance, whenever possible, as staff have teaching commitments.
