Following their GCSE successes, students are able to move forward with the results they need for the next stage of their education or employment and recognise the effort, commitment and care of the staff who have supported and challenged them throughout their time at Lowton.

Almost 60% of all grades were at least a strong pass (grade 5 or higher) and over 30% were at the highest grades. These excellent grades were matched with many students making excellent progress across a wide range of subjects.

In addition to the great Year 11 results, most Year 10 students at Lowton also sat one GCSE, in Religious Studies. The students’ results in this exam are testament to their hard work, with over 25% of them getting the highest grades (grades 7 to 9) - a year early!

We are particularly proud of our students’ strong performances and excellent progress across the full range of subjects. Mrs Galbraith, Headteacher, said, “These results are testament to the dedication and hard work of our students supported by their families at home, and of the commitment and tenacity of our staff at Lowton. We can be extremely proud in celebrating the talents of all our students. I am delighted that they are well placed to go on to further success in their life after Lowton. They have shown that great things can be achieved if you work hard. We wish all of our Class of 2026 every success in their next steps”.
