Head of Drama

Salary: MPS\UPS - 2025-26 PLUS TLR 2b
Start date: 1st September 2026
This is a full-time permanent role and represents an excellent opportunity for an inspirational Drama teacher to lead our Drama department.
Drama is one of our high achieving subjects and we are looking for someone who has the desire and experience to inspire a love of Drama and performance and continue to secure excellent outcomes for pupils. You will either be an existing leader, aligned to our ambitions and thinking, with a desire to make selfless impact in our setting, or you may be an experienced Drama teacher with a proven track record in delivering outcomes and have a secure understanding of your subject with the ability and desire to make the first step into subject leadership.

Extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities will be at the forefront of your pedagogical thinking, developing our pupils into confident and skilful practitioners, who are socially mobile, culturally aware and well equipped to succeed in life.
The department works closely alongside others to share good practice and works collaboratively with Music to plan and run school productions. A commitment to this is essential for this role. The Department is well-resourced and well-established with great facilities which include our dedicated Drama Theatre.

Receptionist & Administrator

Four days: 8.00 am – 4.00 pm
One day: 8.00 am – 3.30 pm (day to be agreed)
Term time plus 1 week*

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Receptionist and Administrator who will be will be the first point of contact for our school either by telephone or in person.
The school office is very busy and is crucial to the smooth running of the whole school. Primarily, you will be dealing with telephone calls and emails, delivering messages to students and welcoming visitors to school, but you will also support the administration team with a variety of tasks. We need a reliable, efficient, high-quality administrator for this multi-layered role.
The role requires a conscientious and positive individual who can maintain a high degree of confidentiality. You will work well as a member of a team in a busy environment, and will be great at multi-tasking. You will have good interpersonal skills a flexible approach to work and a warm but professional approach.

This equates to 29.17 hrs\week including paid break allowance.

The successful candidate will have the skills to support students with barriers to learning, enabling them to make good academic progress. You will support students both in and out of the classroom. As well as providing academic support, you will give support around the school site to students who have physical disabilities.
