TEACHER OF ENGLISH AND TEACHER OF SCIENCE

These roles are open to experienced and Early Career teachers.

We are looking for two exceptional teachers to join our school. We are looking for someone who has the desire and experience to inspire a love of their subject and achieve excellent outcomes for students. You will contribute significantly to the teaching of your subject across both key stages.

EXAMS MANAGER

Full time: 37 hrs\week
Four days: 8.00 am – 4.00 pm
One day: 8.00 am – 3.30 pm (day to be agreed)
Term time plus 3 weeks*
Salary: £26,593 - £29,345
Start date: 1st September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Exams Manager who will be responsible for the management and smooth operation of all external and internal exams.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced exams professional or a highly experienced administrator who is keen to develop into the role with full training and support provided.

The role requires meticulous planning and organisation of exams so attention to detail is essential. It is a varied role, but with strict protocols and deadlines. It will suit somebody who works with precision and a high level of attention to detail but also has a caring approach and enjoys forging positive relationships with staff, students and parents.

We understand that the summer GCSE examination period is a busy time for Exams Managers. Interview dates will therefore be arranged flexibly in consultation with shortlisted candidates. We expect interviews to be complete by 22nd May 2026.

Cover Supervisor

Closing date: 7th June 2026

Hours: 30 hours per week. 8.30 am – 3.00 pm

Term time plus 1 INSET day

Salary Range: NJC G4: points: 5-8

Actual Salary: £17,304 - £18,144 pa

FTE: £25,583 - £26,824 pa

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Cover Supervisor to teach a variety of classes during periods of absence of the designated teacher. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students remain on task with the work set. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be adding capacity to the team as the number of students attending the school increases.  
 
During non-cover periods, the successful candidate will be expected to support the pastoral and inclusion team and undertake lunchtime supervision. 

You may be a recent graduate who is thinking about a career in teaching, or you may be an experienced teacher or educator from industry – whatever your background, you will be an individual who is aligned to our values with a desire to make an impact in our school.

Foundation Governor Vacancies

Foundation Governors – Manchester & Liverpool Diocese

We are seeking two committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our Governing Body as Foundation Governor for either the Manchester or Liverpool Dioceses.

As a Church of England school, our ethos is rooted in Christian values, and we are dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and high-achieving environment for all students. Foundation Governors play a vital role in preserving and developing this distinctive character while supporting the strategic leadership of the school.

About the Role

Foundation Governors are appointed to represent the Church’s interests and to ensure that the school’s vision and values reflect its Christian foundation. Working collaboratively with other governors and senior leaders, you will contribute to:

  • Setting the school’s strategic direction and vision.
  • Holding the leadership team to account for educational performance.
  • Ensuring the school’s Christian ethos is upheld and developed.
  • Overseeing financial performance and ensuring effective use of resources.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals who:

  • Support the Christian ethos of the school.
  • Are committed to improving educational outcomes for young people.
  • Can think strategically and work as part of a team.
  • Are willing to attend regular meetings and undertake relevant training.

Previous governance experience is not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Time Commitment

Governors typically attend full governing body meetings (usually 3 per year), serve on committees and attend committee meetings (usually 3 per year) and make school visits as part of the planned school visit programme.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the life of the school and the wider community, helping to shape the education and wellbeing of future generations.
