Teacher of English - Fixed Term Maternity Cover
Full time, fixed term maternity cover until 31 August 2026
Salary: MPS\UPS - 2025-26
Start date: 01 January 2026

This position is open to early years and experienced teachers and represents an excellent opportunity for an inspirational English teacher to join a high achieving department. The department has a strong emphasis on joint planning strategies to deliver an exciting curriculum.
You will need to pursue excellence from our students and support them in being their personal best at all times, regardless of context or background. The school and the English team are known for keeping abreast of current pedagogical thinking, implementing, evaluating and reflecting on their own practice and the impact this has on students’ outcomes. The department works closely alongside others to share good practice and collaboratively plan projects. The school is a welcoming community and working together for the common good is at our core.

This post is ideal for graduates with an interest in developing a career in teaching and those who have experience within the education sector.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Cover Supervisor to teach a variety of classes during periods of absence of the designated teacher. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a positive environment for effective learning, through the application of the systems and structures developed by the school.
We are a school that places the quality of learning at the heart of everything, and we have a school-wide focus, as outlined in our curriculum strategy, that through rigorous academic subject teaching, knowledge acquisition is taught and learnt through application.
You would be part of a very welcoming and supportive team and as a Cover Supervisor and you will be adding capacity to the team as the number of students attending the school increases.
