Welcome to Lowton Church of England High School - where community meets opportunity!

We are proud to offer some of our exceptional facilities for hire to community groups, clubs, and organisations. We welcome queries for long-term hire arrangements or unique single events from local groups and organisations.

Facilities Available for Hire:

• Sports hall - for indoor sports and training
• Dance studio - perfect for dance classes and rehearsals
• Drama studio/theatre - tiered seating for over 100.
• The Lighthouse lecture theatre - perfect for presentations with over 100 tiered seats.
• Fitness suite - equipped for small group training sessions (10-15 people)

All facilities are available at £30 per hour (excluding VAT).

• A security deposit of £100 is required for all approved bookings.
• All bookings must be paid monthly in advance.

The school will only consider special one-off events where there is a community benefit aligned with the ethos of the school. The preference is for a long-term arrangement. The school will consider hire agreements where there is a benefit to local youths and the community, but reserves the right to decline to hire where there is a possible impact upon the function or reputation of the school.

Hirers must be aware that the function of the school for education of our students is always the upmost priority and our existing arrangements with Leigh Genesis and GR8 gymnastics take priority over any new hire arrangement.

How to enquire about a possible booking

• Email your details and an outline of your hire needs to enquiries@lowtonhs.wigan.sch.uk
• Our business manager will contact you to discuss your needs and what we can offer.
• If we can hire our facilities to you, we will need you to complete a booking request form and provide copies of your public liability insurance and safeguarding policy.
• Once a booking is approved by the leadership team, we will provide confirmation and issue payment instructions.
• You will be invited for a site induction.

Safeguarding

All hirers must comply with our safeguarding and health & safety policies. DBS checks, risk assessment approvals, and emergency procedures are mandatory where applicable. Without the school approval of all necessary safeguarding procedures, the hire of a facility will be declined.
