Extracurricular Activities

At Lowton Church of England High School, we offer a wide range of clubs and extra-curricular activities during and after school that we hope will appeal to all our students’ talents and interest.

We believe that a student’s journey through school is about much more than academic success. Alongside securing strong qualifications, we value the wider experiences our students receive. Time spent exploring hobbies, developing new skills, and building friendships through extra-curricular activities plays a vital role in shaping confident, successful and healthy young people who are ready to thrive, flourish and succeed in life beyond school.

We have an extensive and diverse extra-curricular programme, which includes opportunities across several areas:

• Sports and Physical Activity – such as football, netball, rugby, trampolining, and fitness clubs.

• Creative and Performing Arts – including drama club and creative club

• STEM and Academic Enrichment – including coding club, Sparx Maths club and biscuits and books

• Faith and Reflection – such as creative reflection and student-led prayer

Our programme runs throughout the academic year, and we actively encourage students to get involved. At the same time, we’re always open to new ideas. If there’s a club or activity students would love to see offered, we’ll do our very best to make it happen.

Please encourage your child to embrace the wide range of opportunities available to them at Lowton Church of England High School by attending at least one extra-curricular activity to try out their talents, deepen their skills and extend their subject knowledge.

All clubs are free and you can sign up at School Cloud: SchoolCloud - Lowton Church of England High School
